Alan Johnston
                                        Premier, WV
             A lifelong resident of McDowell County, Alan finds inspiration for his original songs in the
                 history and legend of the county. His McDowell County Project CD features                  “Muddy Water” - his tale of the tragic 2001 and 2002 floods in the county. Music is                  a family affair for Alan as he makes music with his three daughter and sings the stories of                  the “Free State of McDowell.”
